Regenerative Medicine in Dallas, TX
When you’re in pain, you might be looking for the easiest way out – but is it the best solution? It’s easy to resort to pain medication to relieve your pain. Or, in more serious cases, your first approach may be resorting to surgery. However, regenerative medicine is creating an opportunity for physicians to help injured people minimally-invasively, with little to no downtime. Revolutionary regenerative medical therapies are giving patients an alternate way to improve their overall quality of life.
Regenerative medicine is an innovative medical field that uses biological substances to rejuvenate, regenerate, and repair injured muscles, ligaments, and cartilage. These therapies are natural, minimally invasive, and effective at healing your pain and getting you back on your feet.
Regenerative Medicine Can Treat:
- Sports Injuries
- Joint Pain
- Ligament Sprains
- Muscle and Tendon tear
Regenerative Medicine and Growth Factors
Growth factors play an important role in many different processes in the body. They provide support for cellular function, support cell communication, and mediate other cellular processes. Most notably, growth factors can:
- Promote Anti-Inflammatory Activity
- Stimulate Blood Vessel Formation
- Stimulate Tissue Remodeling
- Induce Cell Growth
Our Regenerative Medical Approach
At Centerville Medical Center, we use industry-leading technology and treatments to provide our patients with comprehensive care.
Amnion-derived fluid is an ambient temperature liquid allograft derived from the amniotic components of the placenta to advance soft tissue repair, replacement, and reconstruction. This product does NOT contain live stem cells and as such, does not contain genetic material (DNA) from someone else. It is a derivative of Amnion. It is classified as minimally manipulated under FDA regulation 21 CFR Part 1271 and section 361 of the PHS.
Our ambient liquid Amnio Allograft product has 2 methods of delivery. First as an injection directly into soft tissues and joints. Second, as a topical directly into a patient’s respiratory system (nasal cavity, pharynx, larynx, bronchus, and lungs). Similarly to its use on primary relevant conditions (degenerative joint disorders, inflammatory conditions, and soft tissue injuries), the natural growth factors and cytokines that are present in amniotic fluid help to regenerate soft tissue while inhibiting inflammation and scar tissue formation.
The topical application through a nebulizer has been shown to help patients suffering from COPD and other respiratory conditions such as bronchitis, emphysema, and seasonal allergies as well as a general wellness treatment by systemically circulating the growth factors and cytokines throughout the body to help repair and replace damaged soft tissue.
We utilize the OrthoScan Mini DI/ C-arm. It provides instant image data by means of a non-invasive X-ray technique during medical procedures. Fluoroscopy is a digital X-ray that is ‘real-time’.
A C-arm is an X-ray machine that can change orientation so several views can be obtained.
This allows for precise needle placement for regenerative medicine injections. A C-arm can produce still images, but it also can produce live video.
This is excellent for both evaluation of a patient’s movements but it also allows for viewing “dye spread patterns” to ensure we are precisely injecting the target tissues. We also use ultrasound guidance for soft tissue injections. Without argument, fluoroscopy is the gold standard for orthopedic injections and is of great value with regenerative injections therapy.
